new album titled RISE AGAIN on Metropolis Records

THE DREAMING's new album Rise Again, which will be released on February 10, 2015 via Metropolis Records, is deliberately pointed in its name. The band, which is a reunion of Stabbing Westward's founding members Christopher Hall (lead singer) and Walter Flakus (keyboards, programming), makes no attempt to hide their plans. The Dreaming intend to deliver an album that brings back the early Stabbing Westward sound that fans have been asking for. Although the name Stabbing Westward is now dead and buried (they disbanded in early 2002), Hall and Flakus are ecstatic to return with the intense and haunting music that made them multi-platinum artists. The Dreaming is rounded out with guitarist Carlton Bost (Orgy, Deadsy), bassist Brent Ashley (Static X) and one-time Stabbing Westward drummer Johnny Haro. Hall and Flakus were renowned for their songwriting during the 1990s, mostly through Stabbing Westward's massive radio hits, yielding two gold records. A total of six Stabbing Westward songs landed in the Top 25 of the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts, including three in the top ten: "What Do I Have To Do?", "Save Yourself" and "Shame". Visually, the band also took advantage of the video world, becoming internationally mainstays on MTV and other music channels . As a testament that their music wasn't just suited to the studio, the band proved their musical prowess by sharing stages with such luminaries as Depeche Mode, the Sex Pistols, Kiss, Killing Joke, Front 242, Placebo and The Cult. Emerging from Stabbing Westward's break-up in 2002, Hall formed The Dreaming and released its debut album Etched in Blood in 2008. After some heady reconciliation, Flakus rejoined his former bandmate and brought the musical partnership back full circle. The resulting album Rise Again reignites spark of their original band, as evidenced in its first single "Alone" which can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/cgibbens-1/sets/the-dreaming-alone/s-F3VHo Rise Again will be released February 10, 2015 on Metropolis Records. The Dreaming is Christopher Hall (lead vocals), Walter Flakus (keyboards, programming), Carlton Bost (guitars), Brant Ashley (bass) and Johnny Haro (drums). |

New POUND OF FLESH Music Video for "One-Time Offer"
New POUND OF FLESH Music Video for “One-Time Offer” Streaming Now via REVOLVER Magazine
Featuring Ex-MINISTRY Keyboardist Darrell James
New Album “Pills” Out Now via WuLi Records
Chicago, IL alt-electronic hard rock group POUND OF FLESH (featuring former Ministry keyboardist Darrell James) recently released their latest album Pills via WuLi Records and INgrooves Music Group. Today, REVOLVER Magazine is exclusively hosting a brand music video for the new track “One-Time Offer”. Watch the video here: http://www.revolvermag.com/?p=68691
The
video was directed and edited by Steven McIntosh with cinematographers
Beth Hollander and Elizabeth Fraiberg from e3Photography.
POUND OF FLESH frontman and keyboardist Darrell James states, “The
concept for the song and video is that I'm the devil giving you a
one-time offer and leading you into temptation with sex, drugs, and rock
and roll. It’s about lust, it’s about indulgence, it’s about being
drawn to something that you’re afraid to give in to… lured or guided by
the little devil on your shoulder to take a chance, have fun, give in,
and enjoy yourself because you don’t know what is next.”
James adds, “We felt it was the perfect song to introduce POF to the world since the song incorporates most of the aspects of what POF is all about—good old-fashioned sex, drugs, and rock and roll!”
Pills can be ordered here via iTunes. Mixing an intense and raw electronic sound with heavy, clean production, Pills is both a great follow-up to 2012’s singular counterpart Pill, as well as a perfect introduction to POF’s sound for new fans.
Recorded at Paragon and Drakeraven studios, the album was produced by POF vocalist and lead programmer Darrell James (formerly of Ministry and Revolting Cocks) and keyboardist Steven McIntosh, and was mastered by Doug McBride at Gravity Studios in Chicago.
**LIVE SHOW ALERT**
Catch POUND OF FLESH at the Copernicus Center in Chicago, IL on January 11, 2015. For more info, visit www.copernicuscenter.org.
POUND OF FLESH was formed in the late 90’s, and released their first full-length record in 2000, entitled Red & Black. The album received critical acclaim and support from over 250 radio stations nationwide.
While touring regionally in support of Red & Black, frontman Darrell James was introduced to the legendary Al Jourgenson of Ministry. James was invited by Jourgenson to play keyboards during Ministry’s
2003 “Fornicatour.” Darrell agreed, and was subsequently asked to stay
on for their 2004 “Evil Doer” tour. Additionally, Darrell’s keyboard and
programming work can be heard on Ministry’s Rantology and Rio Grande Blood as well as the Revolting Cocks’ Cocked and Loaded.
In
2008, Darrell started collaborating with keyboardist Steven McIntosh on
new material. After perfecting their sound and recruiting the rest of
the current incarnation of the band, POF released their aforementioned 2012 album Pill. This marked the launch of what now exists as POUND OF FLESH.
