YOU TUBE INDIE ROCKSTARS BOYCE AVENUE
EMBARK ON FIRST MAJOR U.S. TOUR
SUPPORTED BY STUNNING 19 YEAR OLD SINGER/SONGWRITER HANA PESTLE
Last year, Boyce Avenue sold over 300,000 singles on iTunes. Much of this success was fueled by ingenious YouTube campaigns where the band was posting video performances of cover tunes. The band's initial goal was to utilize the visual nature of YouTube videos, coupled with their unique approach to covering hit songs, to build their fan base not only domestically but internationally as well. This reach was most recently realized when the band played to over 25,000 fans in only four shows in the Philippines. Similar online stats can be found for viewer ship in Brazil, UK and Asia, among other territories.
As of this writing, Boyce Avenue is the #9 most subscribed artist on YouTube (200K+ subscribers), in between Taylor Swift (#8) and Linkin Park (#10) – with over 100 million views on the site. Additionally, Boyce Avenue has received over 6 million MySpace plays (12,000+ daily average).
Boyce Avenue will begin their first major U.S. tour on June 23rd in Chapel Hill, NC at the Local 506. Shows are already beginning to sell out on this tour, and the buzz is starting to build towards a fever pitch.
The band is comprised of three brothers from Sarasota, FL: Alejandro Manzano (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Fabian Manzano (guitar, background vocals), and Daniel Manzano (bass, background vocals). Their self-produced full-length debut album will be available in the early fall, 2009, which will stay true to their strong acoustic roots and melodic rock sound reminiscent of the Goo Goo Dolls, Angels & Airwaves, Train and Coldplay. A full track listing and details on the album will be made available shortly.
Hana Pestle is a 19 year old, Billings, Montana native with seasoned, bold vocals and outstanding guitar skills. She regularly tours the United States and wins over crowds with her music nightly. In the fall of 2009, the world will see the release of her beautifully crafted debut album via FNR Records.
Hana began to perform live in her home state at the young age of 14. In August 2005, she played a show in her hometown of Billings, Montana and through a friend of a friend of a friend, a tape of her performance that night reached writer and producer Michael "Fish" Herring (Prince, Christina Aguilera, Tupac) and Evanescence co-founder, Ben Moody (Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion). After watching the tape, the pair decided to work with her.
In the past year on the road, Hana has toured with national acts Blues Traveler, Live, Collective Soul, Joshua Radin, Graham Colton, Jon McLaughlin, Pat McGee, Jon McLaughlin, and Ingram Hill.
Hana has a live album called “Live In The Studio” available on iTunes now.

Excellent write up on Hana. I just saw her at the Bowery Ballroom and was blown away by how great her performance. She's also one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I can't wait until her album is released!
