“Dreaming” (Charli XCX vs Twin Idol Remix) HERE

Today, Los Angeles’ Smallpools announce their 4-song self-titled debut EP release on July 16th via RCA Records. In honor of the news, the band decided to share a brand new “Dreaming” remix by The Chainsmokers HERE, and last week NYLON Magazine premiered the Charli XCX vs Twin Idol Remix of “Dreaming”. The band will reveal another brand new EP track before the start of their first tour.

The four-piece outfit founded in Los Angeles with ties to New York, New Jersey and Oregon. Last week Smallpoolsannounced their first ever live shows, a tour with Australia’s San Cisco that will take them from the East Coast to Canada, through the Mid West and San Francisco and ends in Los Angeles. The brand new band consists of Sean (vocals/keys), Mike (guitar), Joe (bass) and Beau (drums).

Their first single “Dreaming” was produced by Captain Cuts. The song instantly shot to #1 of Hype Machine within the first 3 days of revealing. You can hear “Dreaming” HERE. The band explains the song: "In contrast to the upbeat vibe of the music, the song talks about a moment where everything goes wrong in a situation where you thought you had it all figured out.  A moment we've all experienced to some degree, but most often if we're lucky, in a dream where we get to wake up in a sweat and say, "Phewf, ok, that wasn't real." "

Etana Kicks Off U.S. Tour In Support Of New Album Better Tomorrow

ETANA IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE HER FIRST HEADLINING U.S. TOUR

IN SUPPORT OF HER LATEST ALBUM BETTER TOMORROW

The Multi-City Tour Kicks Off This Week

Etana is happy to announce her first headlining North American tour in support of her critically-acclaimed third studio album Better Tomorrow on VP Records. The reggae songstress kicked off the tour last night in Decatur, GA and will continue to headline shows in over 20 U.S. cities - spanning the South, Northeast, Midwest and Western region. In addition to these more intimate club dates, she will be performing at major stage shows, including Portland's Northwest World Reggae Festival, Austin Reggae Festival, Summer Jam 2013 in West Palm Beach, FL as well as the Irie Music Festival in Toronto, Canada. See most up-to-date tour schedule below.

Etana will be accompanied by her four-piece band and two back-up vocalists on the road to give fans the ultimate listening experience, which she captured on her latest effort Better Tomorrow. The new album is a marked departure from her previous material, including The Strong One (2008) and Free Expressions (2011), and is a true testament to her evolved sound. Etana's indomitable spirit and inspiring songwriting uplifts generations both old and new on a Better Tomorrow. Instead of incorporating Jamaica's popular digital riddims, she chose to be backed by all live instrumentation. The album's primary producer, Shane C. Brown of Kingston's Juke Boxx Productions, and Stanley "Rellee" Hayden of A-Team Music executed her vision. She recorded all fourteen tracks at Kingston's legendary Tuff Gong Studios with Jamaica's finest modern-day musicians - including saxophonist Dean Fraser, guitarist Lamont Savory, keyboarist Kevon Webster, drummer Kirk Bennett, bassist Aeion Hoilett and percussionist Uziah "Sticky" Thompson.

"I wanted this album to feel like a concert performance and have everything go together, like chapters in a book, with all of the tracks played live by musicians (not digitally generated)," Etana explained.

THE BODY’s the horrific videos created for two of the hymns on Master We Perish were both directed by Richard Rankin. Witness “The Ebb and Flow of Tides in a Sea of Ash” HERE and “Worship” HERE.

Leftover Cuties LP Out 7/23 + Nat'l Tour, MP3 Drops w/ WNYC

The Spark & The Fire LP Out July 23rd

“What’s The Matter” MP3 Revealed w/ WNYC,
On Tour Through Summer!

“…Leftover Cuties have added a breath of fresh air to L.A.’s music scene.”
– Paste Magazine

“The Olympics' most surprise breakout band was California jazz-pop outfit the Leftover Cuties.”
– Billboard

Los Angeles-based noir-pop quartet Leftover Cuties are primed to release their sophomore full-length album, The Spark & The Fire, on July 23rd! Returning with a 12-track journey that swings easily from smoke-filled Bourbon St. speakeasies to quiet island getaways, Shirli McAllen’s silky voice provides the hook as the band’s sound pulls you in with upright bass, accordion, piano, brass, brushed drums, and yes, the ukulele.

We previously released first single “One Heart” – a powerhouse track filled with handclaps and stomping percussion. Today, WNYC reveals album cut “What’s The Matter,” a beautifully bittersweet ode to an absent lover. The ballad shows off chanteuse Shirli’s powerful, emotive vocals alongside lush instrumentation and an irresistibly memorable chorus that fixes itself squarely in your mind (and heart!) Check out the “What’s The Matter” MP3 where it premiered with WNYC or HERE.

Leftover Cuties first came to global recognition when their tune “Game Called Life,” was chosen as the opening theme of Showtime’s hit series, The Big C. Their music has also been heard in worldwide ad campaigns for the likes of  Samsung & Hyundai.

Leftover Cuties will embark on a full US tour this summer, giving new fans their first chance to see the Cuties captivating live show. The tour will start in California, with stops in New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Boston and more. The band has performed alongside Shelby Lynne, Alabama Shakes, Saint Motel, the Be Good Tanyas and many more. Be sure to catch them live!
