SEDUCE IN THE CITY

WRIF AND EMERALD THEATRE PRESENT SEDUCE

Mt. Clemens, MI-Nov. 19, 2007- Detroit has been called many things; Motown, Motor city and Hockey Town. But let’s not forget another claim to fame, Detroit Rock City. Many great musical talents have come from the area, including Seduce. Seduce instantly had Detroit rocking in the 80’s. The band will once again captivate the audience of the Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens on Wednesday Dec. 5, 2007, with special guest Proper Villians. The doors for this 18 and over concert will open at 7 p.m.

In the early 1980’s Mark Andrews (bass, vocals) David Black (guitar) and Chuck Burns (drums) formed a rock band unlike any other in Detroit at the time. They called themselves Seduce, and they immediately lived up to their name as they stunned and captivated the motor city. Any crowd became instantly enthralled with the bands’ creative live performances. When Seduce stepped onto a stage, their energy could be felt before they played a single note. Once the band began, the excitement of the room quickly heightened and when the show ended, the crowd always wanted more. Seduce produced a look and a sound that Metro Detroit had never seen or imagined. They were the first band in Detroit to consistently draw over 1,000 people on two consecutive nights playing original music.

After releasing their first independent self-titled album in 1985, the band grew to an even higher level of popularity. They were signed to IRS, which was a national record label at that time. They released their second album in 1987 titled Too Much Ain’t Enough. The song “Crash Landing” was heard from coast to coast and Seduce became Nationally recognized for their unique look and sound. The band as well as their song, “Colleen” was also featured in the movie The Decline of Western Civilization Part II.

After reuniting on the stage of the Emerald Theatre in 2002, the original band members will rock Bath City all over again. Seduce along with special guest, Proper Villians, will perform Wednesday Dec. 5, 2007. Doors open at 7 p.m. for this 18 and over show. Tickets are now available at all Ticketmaster outlets and are $15.00.

The Emerald Theatre is located at 31 North Walnut in downtown Mt. Clemens. For more information or for interviews, please call (586) 913-1920 or visit www.emeraldtheatre.com.
